# How much to LSx swap my XXXXXX?

Smart man right there. You would be surprised how many “car people” think 40 hrs to swap in a motor and trans what doesn’t belong in the car at $75 an hr is way too much. 40hrs is a low est on actual work hours, not even considering most of the times its not just ONE guy doing the work, not considering “hourly rate” also takes in consideration: Rent, electricity, shop supplies down to paper towels, welding wire, argon, nuts and bolts, etc., insurance, taxes (around 16% all said and done) heat in the winter, THEN $ goes into the shops pocket, very little goes into mine!

And yes, you get what you pay for I guess. You want a swap done for beer money, get a hold of me the following week to make it run right. 🙂
