To clean/refresh them in solution. Or replace if you have a short term style. How long do you wear a set for without removing them.

A stupid buddy of mine used to leave his in for weeks at a time, he would just dump the cleaning solution into his eye every day.
He ended up with a super bad eye infection, now he can’t wear contacts at all anymore.
When I wear them, I need to take them out every 18-24 hours…

i remove mine every night if im wearing them. Few years back i used to wear them non stop…used to sleep with them over night…wouldn’t take them out for days or weeks… worked out well for a long while, then finally got a bad eye infection.
never again did i do that.

Always take them out every night. Don’t fuck around with your contacts guys. My mother has a fake eye from from an eye infection caused by contacts.

At least every night and sometimes during the day if i am going to take a nap or something.
I enjoy my vision so I don’t mind taking them out and putting them in when I wake up.

you’re not supposed to wear them for more than 8hrs and take them out when on a computer, watching tv, reading a book, etc
but here in reality I think most of us put them in at 9am and take them off around 11pm?

I don’t even remember the last time I took my out. Or changed them. I can feel them getting old though, so I better find my new ones.
I’ve never had an eye infection either. I’ve been doing this for a long time.

Do the people who leave them in for days actually have the contacts you can wear for days at a time or are you doing this with the normal ones.

I wear disposables, but clean them once per day for about a month.
I also wear them for 16-18 hours a day.
I have slept with them on, but they feel like crap the next day.

I think I have the normal ones. I wear disposables. I’m only supposed to wear them for like 2 weeks.

ugh you guys are stupid. no contacts are made to be worn overnight (some you CAN sleep in briefly). sometimes you can get lucky like xander but it’ll catch up to you. good luck driving when you’re blind in both eyes.

I wear mine for months at a time too. Started that habit while deployed, and now I just stick with it. Usually take them out for a night about once a month, but they last for a good 5-6 months.

Yes, because I can’t remember off the top of my head if they’re the disposables that you wear for 2 weeks or a month, I’m ESPECIALLY stupid. I don’t know how I even get through the day!
EDIT: Actually, I wear Acuvue Advance. Does that make you feel better? Do you need my prescription too?
