How the hell do they get across borders with this? And where was the beloved USA Antiterrorism organization in all of this? They claim to know and and see all, but some naive tourists walk through airports, security check points and travel with this rock. Holy hell!!!

I’ve travelled a lot in that part of the world - airport security is almost non-existent in many places (as is preventaive maintenance!), and even if there is security it is easily bypassed with a small “donation”.

They did not travel by air but by land. They trucked the heavy stone into China, since Kyrgyzstan is pretty much adjacent to China.
