Seriously though, there should be a lot of bikes popping up for sale, you know how to negotiate well so I would just find another one to avoid the headache of this mess.

so i bought the bike today, prolly gonna get fucked, but the deal is worth the gamble… I dont think he can fuck me totally, but he can give me a hard time for sure.
called the bank that he had the lien with, they said I CANT transfer ownership of the bike at all… anyone can make a payment, but the release has to go to him not me. I looked like an idiot but i secretly recorded half of the deal and made a bill of sale with a copy of his license on it and a description of me paying it off and him handing the release over when he gets it.
hope thats enough? lol

you covered your bases well enough I think. Even if he tries to say you stole it when the lean release comes. Try to get ahold of him and have him sign the lien’d title over you you ASAP… if you didnt already. even if the bank doesnt want you to change ownership, they wont know two people signed a piece of paper and handed it over. Heck he gave you the bike at this point, thats what the bank would consider changing ownership too I bet.
Atleast this way you have the title and BOS, he cant do shit but cough up the release at that point.
The 450 was jetted wayyyy rich and needed a tune up. Valves like to run outa spec and cause issues too, so I check them for him also. Waiting on a few main and pilot jets to come in and some time to put the carb back on and tune it up.

i got this bill of sale below, a signed title, 2 keys, manuals, a video of me paying it off and a video explaining that i paid the bike off and saying he will deliver lien release to me when received… even still have the dudes license lol, but i dont wanna be like nah ur not getting it back until u get the release bc it might make em mad haha
im pretty sure even if he was a douche and didnt ever give me the release i could still reg, insure and drive the bike without it being repo’d, itd just be hard to sell bc of the lien…
