i sense bitterness on this subject. I think the time and make a friend route is the best way to go. It’s not a big corperation so the network is just locally managed. At the old company i was at the top of the food chain, so i could do whatever i wanted for the most part. It sucks being the low man again. But better off in the long run. ---

best thing to do is to come up with a legitimate reason for you to have the an admin account for your workstation. once you can get admin privileges, you’ll be able to install anything you want within reason. BTW - winamp is not a legit reason, neither is google toolbar. A good legit reason would be the need to install syncing software for a PDA or a phone… _hint hint_ ---

I always use the google toolbar… I have no problems w/ spyware… ---
