Im trying to reupholster my rear shelf in the E30 but I cant get the speaker covers off of the after market Infinity speakers. Anyone know how to get the covers off? Ive tried turning them in either direction, prying up, and looking for hidden screws. Nothing I do seems to work. The shelf is made out of a thick cardboard so I don’t want to crack it or damage it.

From the Infinities that I’ve dealt with, the metal comes out of the plastic, then you remove the mounting screws for the speakers.
