> Hello Sven!

> i pm’d you before about swapping manual doors to power doors on a s13, anyways i found the thread i think you were referring me too, but i’m not very familar with the electronics and wiring you are talking about, but i really want to learn how to do the conversion, if you could please give me a step my step or some way of describing the wires to me, i would really, really appreciate it 🙂

> as of my situation, currently i have both power doors ready to put in place of the old manual ones, and other than the wire that’s sticking out of the powerdoors i don’t know what else to do…er, anyways if you could give me a shout, it’d be great, thx!

OK I’ll make this short and sweet! You’ll need:

1. Power window regulators & motors (glass is interchangable)
2. Power Window Amp (little black box mounted on driver’s door under panel)
3. Wire. That’s it!

Once you have everything mechanically in place, the electronics are simple as well:
(For reference, r = red, w = white, b = black. R/W means a red wire with a white stripe)

Starting from the passenger door, you have 3 wires coming into the car that you need. (R/W, R/B, W/B). Extend all three of these wires under the dash to the driver’s side.

From the driver’s door you should have 4 wires: W/B, B, R/B, and R/W. Extend the black wire to a ground point. Extend some +12V source and connect it to the W/B wire.

Now all that’s left to do is match up the colors.
Connect W/B to W/B (+12V should also be connected from earlier step)
Connect R/B to R/B
Connect R/W to R/W

Hope that helps you guys out.
