Shit I think I bought my laptop in 03. My battery in my 600m went from lasting about 2.5 hours to now lasting only an hour. Sucks balls. I want a new battery damnit.

ugg my battery doesnt have that sticker on it, but it does say TYPE D531. I hope it safe to assume that’s the model number which is not listed as one that is recalled.

they had the exact same recall last year too, many of the same model laptops as well. Mine didn’t need it, its only a month old though anyways

Dell Recalls 4.1 Million Sony Batteries
Dell has agreed to recall 4.1 million batteries made by Sony because there is a risk that the batteries can burst into flames. Follow this link for complete instructions on how to get your battery replaced.

New battery for me too. Some people have to wait 70 days and are told not to use the defective batteries while they wait. Nice to have a laptop you can’t take anywhere!!
