[**[FONT=Times New Roman]Hyundai sweetens incentive that covers job loss**

LOS ANGELES – Hyundai Motor America is making its successful Hyundai Assurance sales incentive even more attractive.
Hyundai Assurance, which was launched in January, allows consumers to return their new Hyundai vehicles within a year of purchase if they lose their jobs.
Now, with Hyundai Assurance Plus, Hyundai also will pay the vehicle loan or lease for 90 days during the year while the owner looks for work. If the owner keeps the car, the payments do not need to be repaid.
Hyundai Assurance Plus will be offered from Feb. 23 to April 30.
“We continue to look for ways to help consumers in this challenging economic environment,” says Joel Ewanick, Hyundai’s marketing vice president.
Hyundai is scheduled to broadcast TV spots about Assurance Plus during the Academy Awards show on Sunday. Hyundai replaced General Motors as the Academy Award’s automotive sponsor this year.
Seven 30-second Hyundai spots are scheduled, plus one 60-second corporate spot highlighting the history of the company and its commitment to the U.S. market.
The incentive is credited in large part for boosting the Hyundai brand’s U.S. January sales 14.3 percent above the figure for January 2008, to 24,512 units. Industry sales fell 37.1 percent in January. …

Haha…

See I love their ability to reach out and creatively steal market share.

I dont care what you say about their cars, Hyundai is one compelling business story if you have followed them from their roots in the states.

Since when have they had a cool car? 🤣

Seriously, all the morons who are arguing that Hyundais are terrible are the equivalent of the morons from 1987 saying that Hondas were terrible.

The times, they are a-changin’!

These are some bold moves, the market holds are weak right now. Toyota is still there, producing boring ass reliable cars, so is honda. Domestics are pretty bent over, although Ford is moving along to better itself. The new fusion is legit. Hyundai is really pushing trying to make its own foothold. Props to the managers.

Times-a-changin’ for sure.

Initial quality is a useless measurement. I work on the cars for a living, and they are still garbage.

I have, they’re shit. They make two reasonably reliable models right now, the Tucson and the Santa Fe. And even those have multiple problems with brakes, and air bag components. But who needs brakes and airbags right?

Producing cheap crappy cars that you could drive into the ground fro 15 years, and then producing 1 exciting model (2 if you count the coupe and sedan as separate cars) hardly counts as being an awesome company. Are they moving int he right direction, yes and at a rapid rate but they still have a way to go.

Please enlighten me on which models are unreliable as i have been selling Hyundai for almost 3 years now and have NEVER had a reliability issue come up… We constantly take in 300k elantras, accents, and yes even excel’s… Yes they bodies are rotted out on these 15-20 yrs old vehicles but the powertrain holds together

Producing a car that appeals to a car enthusiast forum is not what makes a great company… If so what has toyota made in the last 13 yrs that screams excitment?

They make long lasting cars with great warranties and they stand behind them

We all know Toyota became worthless when they cancelled the MR-2, Supra, and Celica.
