3200 pounds. But none the less, I agree and you are correct its not gonna be anything special in stock form. But, from what I’ve been hearing hyundai made the car very mod friendly. Hopefully they also made the bottom end stout enough to crank up the psi.

then you ruin the warranty which is the main reason hyundai exists in the first place…I would save myself hassle an get the 370z for about the same price as the v6 hyundai

Do you know how many warranties I’ve voided in my life? Obviously people that are buying these cars strictly to modify arent really going to give a shit about voiding the warranty.

And again, I’m not trying to say this is the greatest car in the world. Id buy a 370z over a genesis as well. I just think its good hyundai is going against the grain with a RWD sport compact and bringing it here.

Im hoping it sells well and influences other import automakers to do the same, Id kill for nissan to bring something silvia-like over here.

Anyone that loves the feel of a RWD sport compact I’d imagine. To people who want a RWD turbo compact and actually want some interior comforts/reliablity. As much as I miss my 240sx, it would have been a lot nicer with power seats, a sound system I can actually hear, keyless, and all the modern shit that you dont get with an 18 year old sr20det swapped 240sx.

And yes, I’m probably just gonna keep the saab for a couple more years and pay it off. Its still has 30,000 more miles of warranty and Im not really trying to take a loss on trading it in.

The performance numbers seem good and so does the price, but I have to agree with darkstar, from the front, that is one of the ugliest cars I have seen in a while. From the side and from the back it looks great, but they need to do something about the nose of the car.

i dont think this car should have any comparisons to a vette. its not the same target audience and not the same purpose. its a decent dd and finally a worthwhile offering from hyundai that i think may convert some ppl over to their side. vettes have nothing to do with it

Kolar said he wanted a lightweight, RWD, compact car with bells/whistles.

Read Thread. Suck Darkstar’s Cock. You can pick the order.

ya, i saw that. its still not the same target audience. the vette is a step above in class and price, when talking new cars. your car is not brand new and really cant be compared to this car either. this car is brand new and ppl considering buying this arent gonna suddenly remember that they made ls1 vettes, then go out and buy one of those instead. but i forgot ‘Darkstar finally got teh auto LS1 10 years after it came out, so it needs to be brought up in every thread!!’

no matter how nice darkstar’s car is, if he races it, it will still run a 14. good driver\>good car.

noone cares about your vette darkstar, it’s just another boring car with an auto.

an no, I don’t care if it is faster than what I have right now.

It can be compared, because it’s a lightweight, compact, powerful, RWD. Again, I will remind you that I was talking to Kolar, and only. Not anyone else. My target audience was Jon Kolar. I cannot stress this enough. This is a kid that wakes up in the middle of the night with sweet dreams of ripping out car interiors and voiding warranties (amongst other things which are so lurid they cannot be mentioned here). Are we comprehending the context of the conversation yet?

Dude, stop being so obviously jealous of my sweet ride. It’s way faster than anything you own anyways.

Yea Mikey I understand that. Obviously there are tons of RWD domestic coupes to choose from. I more or less meant RWD imports, and ecspecially those of a RWD turbocharged nature. In my opinion there has been one worth a shit, since the supra and 300zx were axed.
