It doesn’t have to be the same year or even same bumper. You can use the money for what ever you want. The manager is basically telling you that they are fixing the old bumper. Even if the '11 bumper cost more the insurance will only pay for a '10 bumper and you would just have to come up with the difference. Should have just gotten a check.
