If a filling falls out and it doesn’t hurt… then you need more than a filling… Most likely you’re going to either need a root canal/crown or to have the tooth pulled. If a cavity/filling comes out there’s almost a direct path to the pulp/root; and if you’re not in any pain/discomfort the tooth is most likely dead. ---

I suggest getting it drilled and filled…do not put it off. The cavity I just filled would have cost about 180 out of pocket without insurance. And thats with the new(er) white type filling. My vote would be to go to UB and have them do it for real cheap. I know a bunch of dental students, and cavitys are pretty simple procedures. ---

new white fillings are a little more expensive it seems. On a side note I had one done 3 weeks ago and now it hurts to bite down on hard things. Calling up to make a appointment for next week to get it checked out ---
