# I Just Can't Catch a Break...

So after 2 bad cranks, 1 bad head, being sent the wrong bearings, and countless other headaches during this build, here is the lastest PITA.
I cracked open the tranny to inspect everything, and surprise surprise, broken shift fork. This kid was a total douche (didn’t find out until after I bought the motor). Apparently he ran some boost on his stock z6 and threw a rod throught the front of the block. I purchased his “complete” z6, which included his blown motor, a bare block and a tub full of other worthless ricer crap. It’s really really frustrating, and if this car weren’t so damn slow I’d sell everything I’ve got invested, lol.

It works fine. 3rd gear engaged perfectly when he sold it to me.

odd…
would a broken shift fork cause 2 gears not to engage??
for instance 3rd and 4th?
in something say like… a saab?
all hypothetical of course

Yea I live on kenmore/colvin. Across kenmore from rite aid, 2nd floor, the one with the fish tanks in the windows.
I’m not sure how a saab works, but that arm is the 3/4 arm, and if i understand it correctly, this won’t shift into 3rd gear.
