# i need help don't know whats wrong with my brake

i need help… i don’t know what is wrong with my brake… i just finish my 5 lug conversion on my 240 and i also upgrade my front brake as well to a gtr brake… but i still have a stock 240 master cylinder…(its been dry for abit) so my friends help me bleed the brake. but when i press on the brake pedal after its very soft and its go down to the floor and the front brake its lock as well…
anyone have a idea what wrong with my brake…

usually you gotta upgrade to a larger master cylender ex, 300zx.
you should get the pedal feeling back after you swap your original master cylender out.

probably at partsource or nissan. i think the 300zx cost bout 200 .not shure

so there was no fluid in your master cylinder for a while? take it off, bench bleed it, stick it back on the car and then fully bleed your system.

yea you will usually lose the pedal stiffness when doing a brake upgrade because the oem s13 master cylender is way too tiny for multi piston calipers such as the z32
better to buy oem that to buy from partsource/dash but cost reflects it as well

Bleed all 4 corners including the ABS actuator (2 nipples) if you have it. Bleed everything 2 or 3 times…usually helps.
You do lose some pedal pressure with Z32 or Skyline brakes but not much.

hey nis240 do u know if the 97 nissan 240 abs has these bleeders on the abs acuator cause i cant seem to find any?

I know S13s have the nipple on top but i dont know about S14, i dont think they have them…just have a look in a FSM for an S14.

holy fuck i thought i was a total idiot when i was typing were is death by 240 to cut this kid up for spelling break wrong.
ps u need a bigger master brake cylinder or you blead the brakes wrong or not enough

ok i just got the 300zx master brake cylinder i bench bleed it before i put it in my car… … so me and my friends bleed the brake again 2 time… but still soft but when i press the brake about 10 time the get header but when i stop and it went soft again…
its that mean i have a leak some where…?
