I wanted something fun to drive in the winter months so I picked up a new Golf R. Looks good X! Great color choice as well. Replaced the Tdi? I loved driving Becks, super smooth and comfy. ---

Thanks for the compliments. Yes I replaced the TDi. Gas mileage was great on the wallet, but I needed some more fun in a DD. Other than that the cars are pretty similar, so I kept almost everything I liked about the wagon, and just added some HP and AWD! In regard to how “fast” it is, it’s fun to drive at the moment, but I have the “stage 2” stuff on the way. Then it should be a solid 12 second car which is plenty for a DD IMHO. X… ---

Over the next 10k miles, you’re going to notice the exhaust tone changing, for the better. At about 10k, it starts to really sound deep and throaty. A real butt rumbler. - - - Updated - - - While I should do the logical thing and buy a Touareg, I’m probably going to pick up a 2015 4-door. ---
