Ive actually seen people safety wire the bolts for that area in off road situations…

also you can use locking header bolts like these instead of stage 8’s

The Loctite didn’t work. I said we’d have to use lockwashers, but the car was sold before we could put them in.

I just need the exact bolt size… Then I’ll get some ones with a hole on top to safety wire them.

Got all 4 bolts from precision turbo today.

I’m going to use loctite 290 for a hold. If they ever start backing out I’ll get something better. It’s strong to 200\* Celcius

Loctite 290 is that kind of loctite you use if you never intend on taking that bolt out again though…

What are the specs on the bolt? I would measure it before you put it in, in case you need to buy some safety wire bolts:

</div>

I dont think you need to go crazy on these bolts. I have the same turbo and have never had any issues with those bolts or on any other turbo Ive owned for that matter. Loctite will just burn up. I would get the torque specs from precision though, I think that helps the most. I use my small torque wrench and crows foot adapters. Its better than guessing.

Well, these bolt into the compressor housing back plate so it shouldn’t be all that hot.

I plan on getting saftey wired bolts eventually, but for now I’ll do this and check my bolts often.

I’ve also never had an issue with these bolts. I just hand-tight them and roll. They’ve never been loose on any of my turbos.

</div>

Yeahhh but I think the real issue is that hondas rev stupid high and the vibrations are much greater than something as smooth revving as a vw or audi.

Hence why some people have to constantly retighten downpipe bolts and even sometimes header bolts on hondas.

Unless you’re using torque wrench specific crow’s feet, or adjusting your torque value, your measured torque value is no better than a guess…

you can always just get a safety wire jig, and drill your own holes in them
