Is your battery still charged?

 All cars should have voltmeters on the dash, IMO. I wish mine did. I’ve thought that ever since I went to go for a ride in my buddie’s caprice. He started the thing, everything seemed fine, then he pointed at the dash and went “shit.” I asked him what was wrong and he pointed out his voltmeter was reading 12V, not 14.4 with the car running. Therefore, dead alt.
