It doesn’t even have an auto loader. So you have to inject the substance yourself. Which means you have to be consistent. It’s the biggest piece of poop in the world. Oh, and the paper moves at 2 or 3 centimeters per minute. And it sucks. And I’m typically very whiney, so you could imagine be whining about this. Although even the army kid was whining about this, and he’s not one to complain about anything. I better be able to make some pure ass drugs when I’m done with this shit. I’m going to need them… ---

They are terrible. Thermo makes much better instruments. And Hewlett Packard, too. ---

Yea, the one we have at Canisius is a lot like that. Slow as hell, and has to be manually injected. It’s ridiculous. ---

Actually, we’ve done: visible spectroscopy (spec 20, gen 20…and oh goodness colorimetry with a klett-summerson–talk about a blast from the past!!!) UV/Vis (perkin elmer POS, again…but at least it’s from the past 10 years) atomic absorption spectroscopy IR–both disperisve and fourier transform NMR gc hplc and we’re ending with ICP, because they just hooked it up And I’m only a sophmore. Oh memories. OH MEMORIES. I only have one more lab to do. ☹
