Yup. Got a phone call today. Apparently someone got a hold of my personal information and tried opening a cell phone account under my name. AT&T called and verified if I had opened it. I’m now going through the process of making sure nothing else happens. So far nothing has, i’ve had a credit report done and nothing else, as of this point nothing has come up.
Has anyone else on here fallen victim to identity theft?

My mother had two houses and a couple credit cards on her report that weren’t hers. Took a lot of phone calls to get it fixed.

i had someone get into my paypal and send out $500 a month or so ago, it pulled from my checking and overdrafted my shit, i was like seriously?! wtf haha

^^ Same thing happened to me, some retard got into my PayPal and sent $250 to 3 random people, EACH got $250 and luckily they realized it was a scam and they all sent the money back to me the next day.

mine was sent out to 2 different people, paypal automatically detected it as fraud, i just called them up and they transferred my monies back, my passwork was the same as ebay and a bunch of shit so i wasnt suprised. now its super un-haxorz-able

ive had someone make a test purchase with my credit card info, Navy Federal Credit Union noticed it was for a product that was out of the norm for me to purchase and the put a hold on my account, called me and sent me a new credit card.
apparently one of the vendors i used to buy car parts through had their financial info hacked and i was one of the lucky ones.

I used to have that on my credit cards but when I bought my house and started having to make big purchases it constantly froze my credit card and made it really inconvienent to make any purchases. For the peace of mind, I will be setting that back up today.
