Adjust your TPS… I had the same problem after I cleaned my throttle body… didn’t put it back on properly.

Mine idles at either 1800rpm of 800 rpm… If I adjust the idle there, it idles
at 800rpm or 0rpm ☹

Isn’t adjusting your TPS and idle just a temporary fix anyways? There is probably another problem with maybe a vacuum leak somewhere and the idle will just go up again after awhile. Screw me if i’m wrong.

Don’t touch the TPS unless you’ve already screwed with it, you’ll just end up chasing a different problem. TPS is not where you adjust your idle.

1- make sure the throttle body is clean (you should have removed and cleaned it as part of your install prep anyway)

2- make sure the throttle cable isn’t holding the TB open.

3- run the engine until it’s warm. Note it should idle at 1500+rpm until it’s warm.

4- adjust the idle at the AAC (?) valve, between cyl 3 and 4 intake runner, big screw, should be 700 - 750rpm.

Note: before you adjust the idle you should ensure the timing is correct.

-Martin.

Martin’s right - Don’t screw with the TPS!

You can do more damage than good, like cause the throttle plate to stick closed.
