I have a 1990 240sx hatchback, with the stock ka. It will start no problem but if i dont give it gas it will die right away. It starts and will idle at like 2000 rpm for a second or two than just drops and will die. The other thing is, ill barley touch the gas pedal and it will rev to 3000 -4000 rpm?!?! lol and at stop lights people stare cause im reving it so it wont die ahhaa Can anyone please help me?!?! ---

sounds like a vacuum leak, or a sensor ---

Best guess would most likely be an Idle air control valve (nissan calls it an Idle air adjusting unit) Other causes might be a vacuum leak or possibly a charging system problem. Easiest way to check it is to tap it with a hammer or screw driver. If it works normal after you tap it, either try taking it off and cleaning it or for best results replace it.
