# Ignition issue?

I was told to test the coil to see if thats the possible problem in my ongoing dilema, Mallory says I sould get 8-12v by testing the - side of the coil I get nothing, but when I crack the motor, I have perfect spark from the coil wire going to the cap. Um if that was bad or even giving me a 0v reading from the + or - side of the coil.

i don’ think you will get a positive reading from ANY negative terminal. Are you sure your not testing for resistance or something?
