YOU ARE ALL HYPROCRITICAL BANDWAGON JUMPING DICKS.
I know for a fact ALOT of you that commented against him DO THE SAME FUCKING THINGS. Text/talk and drive and have a few drinks and drive too. If you NEVER DID, you have a leg to stand on, if not be honest and feel ashamed of your replies here just to throw stones.
Correct me if I am wrong, but when was the last time you sent or received a text and the steering wheel cranked out of your hands, or the gas pedal was jammed to the floor out of the blue??? It doesn’t and never will. The accidents were CAUSED by incompetent, poorly skilled drivers NOT PAYING ATTENTION. The texting shit is the cause to the cause of the accident. It’s a fucking scapegoat and an easy excuse to point a finger when THE incompetent, poorly skilled drivers NOT PAYING ATTENTION CAUSE AN ACCIDENT! Looking at foliage, a girl jogging by with bit titties, a car accident in the other lane, surfing the radio for a station, fumbling for your ezpass on the passenger side floor, getting road head, eating a big mack…… the list is never ending… ALL CAN CAUSE THE SAME DAMN ACCIDENTS, AND DO, YET ARE NOT ILLEGAL SO ITS OK TO DO!!! You have to be kidding. People are ignorant to what is ACTUALLY GOING ON. Your eyes glance down and your fingers hit some buttons. Your brain formulates thoughts and they come out your fingers, this is no different than a lot of other actions you take in the car while driving. Argue those facts with me.
The bottom line is you are responsible for yourself, your occupants and everyone else on the road. Mario Andretti or Sally Crashingcars it doesn’t matter what the hell you are doing, if you get from point A to B without incident congratulations. Figure out a way YOU can do so, and stick with that. If you fuck up and crash, there is nothing left to blame but your OWN MISTAKES. Of texting was the mistake cool. If eating a cheeseburger was the mistake cool. It’s the same shit. You are an idiot who can’t handle those tasks while driving.

To PLOW into a truck and crumple the car in such a way that it kills 3 people in it… There is a MAJOR difference in speed between object A and B. That tells me either she was FLYING and rear ended the truck probably going a normal pace… OR the truck was stopped/very slow and she was driving at a normal pace and never saw it coming. Typical not paying FAR ENOUGH DOWN THE ROAD ATTENTION. Especially if it straight line of sight. THAT is what killed those 4 people!!!
Look at it this way. Take that phone right the fuck out of the equation. Replace the phone with her looking up in the rear view mirror for the same ammount of time she was looking at her phone. SHE STILL DIDNT KNOW THE TRUCK WAS COMING, TO THINK (I HAVE ABOUT XXX SECONDS TO LOOK IN THIS MIRROR AND COMPLETE WHAT EVER THE FUCK I AM DOING BEFOR I NEED TO LOOK AT THE ROAD AGAIN) AND HIT THE MOTHERFUCKER KILLING HERSELF AND 3 OTHERS!!!
That is called deductive reasoning! Its not the goddamn phone, its the stupidity of the driver!

Actually I don’t touch my phone when driving and if I change the channel on my radio I do 't take my eyes off the road bc I know where the buttons are. Yes in the past I have done some things that weren’t smart but I also grew up and started being responsible when I realized how stupid and dangerous they were. Thats something Iyla should give try.

I thought this thread was about how he thought texting and driving was way safer than drinking and driving (it’s not). Not whether or not we do either. I text and drive, I also will have a drink or two and drive. Am I a fucking retard for doing it, you bet. Doesn’t make him any more right/wrong about his assessment.

I didnt see where that was said. Maybe i missed it or it was in the other half of the split?
Like you just admited to, both can be safe. when done correctly. They become unsafe, when done in excess and without paying attention to your surroundings well enough. Just like everything else our human bodies can do while behind the wheel. They are both fucking stupid when not done _right_.

All he was saying is Drinking is baddd UmKay. Texting is baaasss UmKay. But if you took one drunk and one habitual texter, put them on the road together, the drunk guy stands a higher chance at crashing becasue being drunk fucks up ALOT more aspects of the human body than thinking of some words and typing them into a keyboard. And he is 100% right. And everyone keeps throwing the YET in. I think he made that as a joke about a squirl, and i highly doubt he takes that same cynicism towards hitting a person. Infact the use of YET tells me he understands the consiquences if his actions were to cause an accident.
