# Im also grinding

No honda crap for me, but lately my car doesnt want to go into first while moving cause it grinds…this is kind of a bad time for me to have to replace a clutch as i am trying to scrounge up money for my sr20det swap, please help i think thats what it is but if anyone else has any ideas let me know :wtf :headbang :headbang :wtf

umm a lot of transmissions dont like to go into first while moving… dont try and force it in, put some pressure on it and let it go in by itself
my Z31’s isnt sychroed in first so you cant just force it into first
my g20 is the same way

you have a g20?!?!?!? mmmmm
i thought it was the clutch and i knew these trannys were tempermental to going into first and they only grind at that time of the month but it better not go before i get the sr20
i am getting it cause i am selling my ipod for 70, my tail lights and visors for 55, i have 100 in the bank, this kid may buy my sub and box for 100 and my paycheck tomorrow will probibly be around 150-160ish…thats a total of 475 and i have some parts on ebay, so hopefully i can buy the engine and pay my dad back within the next few weeks

yeah as long as its not grinding hardocre in any other gears i woudlent worry about it…
first gear isnt syncro on some cars, i dont remember if it is on our trannys thou? but yes they deff dont like to be put into first gear while moving

lolallright, thanks dude, i guess i can manage without first and try to strech this out as long as i can until i can get the new motor…dont be suprised if your engine is stolen in the middle of the night :ninja :lol that would save my wallet :crackup

dude ive been beating the piss out of my SR20 for over a year, im talking 8200 rpms and holding it there, constant burnouts bouncing off the rev limiter etc… you dont want it
but she does still run great, i guess thats what happens when you take care of your motor…
plus its only got like 80kmi on it now?

could also just need a fluid change/ top up.
go with a quality synthetic like royal purple, amsoil, redline, etc… that may fix or at least help your problem.

+1 for redline 75w90, its what i run in the G-Dizzle

dude thats sweet…when i was out looking for my motor i found one in a g20 and the one in the se-r
we should see if those headlights and grill will fit on my car sence they are pretty much the same thing

they wont without some modifications
