Bingo. I work hard and I dont think some lazy shithead should get a cushy hospital room for the last 5 years of his life ON MY DOLLAR.
You keep saying “oh just raise taxes” - we, all of us, are paying that. The government doesnt have warehouses full of cash. We pay them, then they buy things on our behalf.
Did you know in socialist European countries (where there is universal healthcare), they have dramatically less new patents per capita than democratic nations? Big surprise, THERE’S NO INCENTIVE TO WORK HARD so why would you try?

Then they should come to America and pay more than they get taxed out of each check to an insurance company who when the time comes that they need treatment will either:
A. Make them pay a shit ton out of pocket anyway
B. Deny them
C. Nickel and dime the shit out of them for the medication they’ll need
Yet they don’t. Wonder why?

I guess we just have a fundamental difference of opinion.
Money is the only way to motivate people. If everyone is paid the same, no one can get ahead, and no one tries. Being governmentally confined to living the same middle class life that everyone else lives scares the shit out of me.

I can’t continue to argue in this thread…
The point is, this is fucking America. We do shit the way we do it. If you like socialism and universal health care, move to fucking Canada.
I on the other hand enjoy being able to make money and get paid for my work invested. But not paying out of pocket because you claimed disability and think lifes not fair so your going to USE the system.
Anyone for Universal Health Care and doing away with good ole captialism is in my eyes a freeloader and weak. I could give a fuck what you guys do with your lives but don’t make me suffer because you got the shit end.

Where do you think the money for your treatment via your Insurance company comes from?
You think the money you’ve paid to an insurance company isn’t being used for some snot-nosed shithead kid with cancer who’s been in a hospital for a year?
I don’t know why you guys think it would instantly change us into lazy communists who can’t make money.
All it would do is direct your money through the government instead of some business…and so long as you are a US citizen you are guran-damn-teed the best health care either way.

I guess if one day you some how lose all of your money whether it be from a lawsuit or stockmarket crashes… youl happily work at a fast food restaurant trying to support a family while barely being able to pay your mortgage… o yah and try to worry about heath care… forget about it

Since you took my communism remark way beyond its intention, I’ll return the favor. 😉
If we didnt have state and local government funded police forces, a private entity would have stepped in the provide the service, arguably with less waste than NYS does it. Police protection is a service that people will gladly pay for, and is therefore an opportunity to make a living ($), and would’ve been provided by an entrepreneur.
No I’m not saying that’s a good idea. You guys are going overboard with the capitalism support you’re reading. Instead of reasonable discussion, you’re dropping one liners trying to make the other person look ill-informed.

:facepalm Insurance is a choice. No one is forcing me or you to pay it like the gov does in universal healthcare. Yes, I’d rather have a private company run it than the gov.

If that did happen, why is it your problem? Why should you pay for my mistake? Why would you even bat an eye about my situation or anyone like me? Take care of number 1, dont worry about me.
Do you see how not being retarded can keep you out of trouble tho? Smart people diversify away risk in the stock market and have liability insurance to protect them from legal judgments.
