policing at this point has not be privatlized, however corrections has, especially in the south and in CA. it’s a lot different and i dont think it should be done this way, especially when it comes to people’s rights.

yes, really

how often do they use it? I assume not often. If you dont have an emergency or don’t need to see a dr asap then it’d be great. I’m sure I’d love it since I’m not on any meds, haven’t had any medical emergencyies, and I’ve never been sick enough to have to see a dr or go to a hospital. I’m confident that when I need healthcare that it will be there, the canadian’s that I’ve talked to do not share the same level of confidence in their system.

as far as the federal reserve, read it’s history and see the real players in it:

> **[Federal Reserve System](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve)**
>
> The Federal Reserve System (also known as the Federal Reserve or simply the Fed) is the central banking system of the United States. It was created on December 23, 1913, with the enactment of the Federal Reserve Act, after a series of financial panics (particularly the panic of 1907) led to the desire for central control of the monetary system in order to alleviate financial crises.\[list 1\] Over the years, events such as the Great Depression in the 1930s and the Great Recession during the 2000s h...

Morgan, Rockerfeller, etc. There was a secret meeting to try and get this into play that way the bankers have more control over the people and the economy.

We got rid of the gold standard and are using money in faith. look at my quotes in my signature (coming from Jefferson before the Fed).

After President Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act, he later stated that he ruined the country.

" am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

I just wanted to chime in since the argument seems to be going in circles.
Not everyone can make a lot of money doing what they do.
If everyone was out to get rich by doing what they do most professions would cease to exist.
Think about it.

Not everyone can get rich, but everyone is trying. Some people dont possess the ability and luck needed to, so they pick the best option (often job) that they can.

HYC - I dont doubt the history, and commend you on knowing the details behind the buzzwords, but we disagree on the intentions of the creators of the Fed. I dont believe it was a sinister evil plot like your second link makes it out to be.

I’d rather the world be full of people like who, who disagree with me but know why, than people that disagree me with and have no idea why. 😉

That’s not the point I’m making.
All those jobs are important, but hardly all of them pay well.
If everyone was only out to make money no-one would do these jobs.
I chose to get an art degree even though I know I probably won’t ever make over 50k doing it :crazy

I understand your point and my post applies.

Everyone IS out to make money. However, if people cant be Donald Trump, they arent going to die of starvation in a gutter chasing the all-or-nothing dream. They’re going to get the best job they can. That’s how those jobs you’re referring to get filled.

You chose the career/profession that fits you the best. But if you knew coming out of high school that you had a good shot at being Bill Gates, I bet you would’ve given it a try.

Good for you. Doing what you want is important, more important than making money IMO. But I still don’t feel that I should have to pay for YOU to go to the doctor, or pay YOU because you failed on your mortgage payment, just so you can stay in your home that you still can’t afford.

If you socialist retards on this site feel so strongly that all of our money should be spread out then help a brother out. I would really like a new set of rims for the vette. Better yet, i just got my hospital bill from being sick 2 months ago $2500. Care to pay that for me?

No? Shit, that’s what you asking me to do for you right now?

Well you wouldn’t have gotten that bill if we had been taxed a bit higher in exchange for free health care, and you’d be able to buy your new wheels with the $2500 you won’t be giving to the hospital.

🙂

Just saying.

the doctor example is quite stupid you contradicted your entire statement. if we had universal healthcare, guess what? your doctor bill would have been paid and you would have $2500 towards rims for yoru vette. we are the ONLY industrious country to not have a standardized healthcare system. look at the UK, Sweeden, etc for good exmaples of how this works. you should also look to see where your taxes are going before you make this vast assumptions.

You missed the point. Your saying spread the wealth. If that’s how you feel then give me $2500 to pay my doctor bill. Of course I would never take the money from you because I don’t want your money that you worked hard to get. I was merely trying to make a point.

My bill is so high because I in fact do not have health insurance. The cost for me to get insured is $9000.00 a year. For me it is cheaper to pay out of pocket for office visits and what not. The only risk im taking is if i contract a terminal illness that requires a lot of medication/hospitalization.

The best part is, you don’t see me asking for handouts. I chose this path and am paying for it out of my own pocket without complaining.

You on the other hand feel that you deserve a hand out from other hard working people, which I despise. I am managing to pay for my health insurance without help, so can everyone else. And if you can’t, IMO, too bad.

Doesn’t matter how the child got there and you just said yourself it would be 9000 for health insurance… thats an outrageous amount of money, but you wouldn’t give a dollar or two to help a terminally ill child? thats just disgusting and sad

We are not talking a dollar or two. Get it through your head. You would be paying thousands a year for Universal Health Care in taxes that come straight out of our paychecks.

And it does matter how the child got there. He shouldn’t have been put in that situation in the first place. Want someone to pay for the child? First of all it would not cost us that much if it was setup correctly and second of all I feel sorry for someone who doesn’t have empathy for a child.

when you say setup correctly do you mean the rich pay for everything and the middle class will allegedly not pay for much at all just their fair share. and of course its the low income earners are the ones making out on the deal and not paying at all.

lets stop rewarding bad decisions in this country. foreclosing on your house? lets give you money. had a child you cant afford? lets give you money. came over the border illegally? lets give you a job. didnt pay your taxes? lets give you a cabinet position. drove your company into the ground? lets give you a hand.
