Wouldn’t you have seen the children when you got in your car?
I hate those permit tests. they’re trying to make you look like a dick =\
sidenote, the director of all the NYS DMVs scored my permit test, and he was the nicest old guy I’ve ever met.

no. there is nothing in the nys v&t law that says anything about this. whichever driver shows up to the intersection first or whoever is on the right has the right of way. someone made that up about mail trucks.

maybe if it was your drivers test we would have some advise for you ie check your mirrors or make sure youre good at paralell parking. ALWAYS YIELD EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS USELESS TO i failed my first test that way
the permit test is pretty cut and dry. if youve paid attention to your parents driving you around (he he) you should be fine

since you already passed the permit test i’ll give you some REAL advice.
Don’t drive like an asshole or have something illegal with your car and expect to not get tickets… you’re young and cops are looking to get you for EVERY thing that you do wrong.
Drive past 9 at your own risk… seriously. If you get caught it’s on your license for 3 years and hurts insurance premium.
Don’t blow every penny you have on making a P.O.S. car into a money pit P.O.S. car that you’ll either blow up, never get running, sell for 1/4 what you have into it… or crash
Those are all things that I did, and now wish I didn’t when I was new with driving and young. Take it if you want, or just pretend you’re invincible like every other 16 year old with his first set of wheels and learn the hard way… thats what most of the people on this site did

That isn’t always true, got caught for that when I was much younger and got it reduced to a parking ticket…
