# importing from the US

Basically have a friend from Cali that can drive the car here. He would have ownership and american insurance and what not. Now if he wants to sell me the car, do I follow the same importing process? Is it possible to get the inspection and paper work done in Toronto or does this have to be done before he crosses the border?

Thanks can’t really search this in Google. Key thing I want to know is it easier or just more work in the long run?
