Honest question.
Is it a monetary value/worth?
Family?
Do something for the better cause of mankind?
What, by the time you’re on your death bed do you hope to have accomplished?
I’m not focusing on the small things (sky dive, climb mt. Everest). I’m talking about taking strides to make sure your overall worth wasn’t complete bullshit.

everyones singular worth _is_ complete bullshit.
“Accomplishment” is in the _legacy_ that you leave.

Totally Agree… I like setting goals for myself. I want to be a millionaire by age 30, I already have somethings in the making, we’ll see how well that goes.

I want to own an Empire. Whether its a slew of gas stations or restaurants or car dealerships. I want my fucking face on buses and billboards. Even if I don’t have all the money in the world, I just want my ego stroked.
And then I want to chill out and spend time with my kids. 4 kids. Who are all awesome. I want them to grow up and tell people I’m the best man they know.
I want to stay in WNY.

Really?
That is what you’ll be reflecting upon on your death bed? A business? I’d say that that qualifies as “focusing on the small things” as I’d say its pretty safe to assume that the business you’d start wouldn’t be the cure for cancer or similar.

Attaining wealth & financial independence is akin to the stereotypical “Supra Dyno Chart” whereas you spend “X” amount of time (relatively long) waiting for “Z” amount of time (relatively short), and then its over (you’re a rotting peice of flesh) in a blink.
IDC if you make it to a millionaire by the time you’re 30, the period of “enjoyment” is still incredibly short.

I’ll tell you right now. You really need to find what you are passionate about. You won’t just own a restaurant if you don’t care for the food service. Starting out is extremely difficult, time consuming, and quite frankly if you don’t love it… you will fail, and wasted lots of your time.
Find what you are passionate about, and start to look if there is a market for it, and go from there

Every time I set goals nothing happens. It’s when I am not doing anything special that all of the good shit happens to me…like awesome jobs that I leave for “prospect” jobs that people lie and say are good then I get fucked and stuck…FML

a goal? just one? You have to realize everything in your life is a goal. Some have a positive outcome, some have outcomes that you didn’t know could happen.
Every goal you have isn’t just dependent on yourself, everything in the world affects it. Hardships on the way just slow you down from achieving goals which either alter the outcome or make you have to work for it a little bit more.
Personally I love challenges, give me the most difficult task to consume me for a week/month/year and it drives me and makes me feel fulfilled at the end of the day.
Sure some challenges just might not be worth the hassle, but you don’t know until you can predict the outcome, then you can cut your losses.

I wanted to make $50k/yr by the time I was 21. - Check
I wanted to make $75k/year by the time I was 22. - Check
I want to make $125k/yr by the time I’m 25.
I want to make $250k/yr by 30 years of age.
There’s no reason why I won’t. Unless, I die or totally forget everything I’ve learned. I don’t ever have the desire to be a millionaire. I just want to be a shooter.
I’d rather cap off at $250k and have kids.
