At this time in my life the only thing I can hope to achieve over my life is a happy family. A loving wife, and healthy kids, and the ability to provide to them everything they need and want.

Once those things have been achieved, then I the focus can swing to other things and other goals.

Have a career where my my wife does not “have” to work. (but bitch will have a degree, fuck dumb broads.)

actually put my degree to use
learn a bunch of different trades, which i can eventually pass down to my kids, because i enjoy working with my father/spending time with them and i want them to have the same experiences.

i get great satisfaction out of building shit, helping others, selling things etc etc. so probably my own business would be in the works, if i cannot afford my time or money w/ a business, then i would just help others for free because i’m a nice guy 🙂

I also want to become wise and compassionate to the point that I don’t respond emotionally to people’s behavior, but rather to the emotions and motives that drive the behavior.

Beck I’m sorry that your rejection issues drive you to seek out our acceptance and respect from something as meaningless and thus safe as how much money you make. 🙂

Thirdly: Keep this marriage a happy marriage till death do us part, preferably a long long time from now.

Fourthly: Leave this world as at least a little bit better place than how I found it.

These goals tend to fit what Steven Covey theorizes are the 4 fundamental desires in life:

To Live
To Love
To Learn
To Leave a Legacy

I just want to be happy.

I’ll have my job I love, live in a state/city I enjoy, hopefully have a wife and eventually kids.

When I pass away I want to be known as a loving husband, great father and hard working/caring teacher

> The concept of leaving the world with a “Legacy” is often misguided and foolish. On their death bed, people are often claimed to say things like: “Will anyone remember me?” “what have i done with this life?” “have i lived my life to the fullest?” etc etc etc. The problem here is that this is a concern or a problem for a mere fraction of one’s life. If one lives their life day to day, happily, Jam as an example, even if he asks these questions on his deathbed, so what? He only spent a miniscule of his life bothered with these problems, contrary to those people who cannot enjoy life because they are so overwhelmed with becoming an emperor. I would much prefer to enjoy 90 years of life and live the last few days bothered by those questions, than live my entire life bothered by those questions and be incapable of enjoying anything.

:bigclap:

I just live. I want to do things that I am passionate about.

I never ever want to be a person that misses out on the rest of life, while constantly being worried about getting rich. Fuck that, why? So you can brag to your neighbors about your wife’s new car? So you can buy a house too big to even clean? So that people will remember you as a self-centered asshole who only cared about his money and his job?

I’ll tell you right now, you will never be truly happy if all you aspire to do with your life is make money and own lots of businesses.

> Granted its more than you made at 22. I wouldn’t brag about how much money I make. It’s not a lot. Especially in my field/career. I know there are shooter’s on nyspeed who make that in half a year. There are people I know that make that in a month. I don’t find it impressive.
>
> It’s like a NFL player talking about how he earns $750k a year.
>
> you fucking homo. aren’t you too old/successful for nyspeed? or does every post you make just seem that way? i would think a 30-something year old who is living extremely lavishly in atlanta and drives a white subaru station wagon would have something better do on his nights off.

You want to compare W2s… from when I was 22? No problem.

The point is, you constantly point about your income trying to validate yourself or get new sack riders. The reality is that there are, and there always will be, people that have done more at an earlier age than you. It isn’t that impressive, and is even less impressive when you feel the need to brag and exaggerate about it constantly.

You found a job that you’re earning more money at, great, good for you, but it is pretty classless (and an obvious sign of severe insecurity) to post about it (and post specifics) constantly. Don’t get so pussy hurt when you get called out on it, anyone with even remedial reading abilities can plainly see it… We’ve all always known you were queen of the Attention Whores, no one is surprised.

Don’t worry, we are all impressed. :mamoru:

I want my kids to be more successful than I will ever be.

To help facilitate that I want to keep upgrading our standard of living so
that they will feel a desire to do the same for their kids. Then their kids can do it for thier kids etc… untill the end of the world.

How better to contribute to society?

no man on his death bed has ever wished they had worked more in life.

I’ve got a beautiful wife and 1.5 Beautiful Children. I want to spend as much quality time with them as a family. It would be nice to do that by putting myself in a financial posistion that requires never being “required” to work again… so that is the “goal” I would hope to achieve.

-build up current businesses
-move out of NYS
-design/build home
