Hey guys, I found these pics online and rehosted cause im sure alot of people would wanna see this.
For those of you who watched Initial D and have yet to see these pics, yes they are all real, mt Akina is called mt Haruna in real life and yes there is akina lake, fujiwara tofu shop, and the Family’s restaurant is called tsu-ka-i-ra-ku or something ‘skylark’ yes my jdmspeak is crap… and there is area called akagi and its jdmtyte
anyway, next meet at the Family’s (skylark) restaurant and than a cruise to the peak of mt Akina 😛

Brings back some memories. Akina is in Gunma prefecture… I went there with 3 buddies for an onsen road trip. Beautiful mountainous region… very quiet.
Skylark’s is a pretty common family restaurant in the Kanto region of Japan.
Oh, but screw Akina… if you go visit, you want to go to Nikko in Tochigi prefecture. Stunning locale. And yes, the roads all over the bloody country are narrow and windy… a little _too_ much so at times (damn near got carsick when others were driving).

yes i know about these places. there are others like Irohazaka and Happogarah which are also real i had pictures of all the mountines but i deleted em all ill try and find em back and post em…
