# Insurance adjusters/estimate.

I don’t know what you’re trying to say but they are going to write you a check made out to the bodyshop that’s repairing the car. It’s 2011, insurance companies aren’t THAT ignorant anymore.

He doesn’t _have_ to spend the check on fixing his car.

Insurance reimburses you for the damages, they have no interest on how you spend it.

I work for an insurance company and you are wrong sir. They do not write the check out to the bodyshop, they write the check to you. Also this case would never be considered ‘fraud’ on the drivers part because it was a mistake on the insurance side, not the drivers part.
