I need to renew my insurance on my car, and Im lookin to save some money. MY sis offered to put it under her name so that I would only be payng $250 for basic for 6 months. If I have it insured under her name, Can I have the car titled under mine? What about the registration? ---

I recently checked on this with my ins. agent. It can be titled in your name and insured in hers, but it has to be registered in her name too. Hope this helps. ---

yeah my insurance and title are in 2 different names. you should be good to go. not sure about the registraton though. ---

How do I go about getting the registration in her name?
