WTF I paid $1500 for full coverage/accessory coverage on my Triumph Speed Triple 1050 at age 19.
Same year I wanted to get full coverage on the GSXR 1000 and was quoted $4500, I ended up with Liability for $1600.

When I was 17 that’s what my rates were, probably closer to 3k for a $1500 sportbike… This is my seventh season riding which probably has a lot to do with it, plus a clean record/MSF/no accidents etc etc.

When I bought my 636 from the dealer I was still getting quotes in the $1200-$1500 range for full coverage so I opted for liability. The next year Progressive sent me mail saying theyll give me full coverage for $600, so I took it. The next two years it just kept going down and down. When I was looking at getting another new bike recently, full coverage on an 09-10 literbike was still under $500 for me.

Currently paying $110/yr for liability only from All State.
Going to be paying $329/yr for full coverage from State Farm.

I have MSF discount, clean driving record, etc. and that was the best I could do pre/25 years and post/25 years of age.

Got a new quote now for $421/year with full coverage and $500 deductibles on comp and collision. Gettin better, hopefully it will drop even more in the next month or so before I need it to register my bike.

just to be safe, put collision on your bike…i never expected to wreck my old 1000rr but it happened and then they paid for it full out…i made 5k off of the deal because of it. but any ways if something happens its better to pay $500 rather than thousands

I finally bought the insurance today online. Quote didn’t change even though I turned 23 last week, was kinda hoping that might help a little but I guess not. No big deal, I went with the coverage I posted above at the same rate and can’t really complain.
