They purchased ATI which is where a lot of that went plus the barrowed money to do so.

Ok, so one is a lot bigger than the other.

Oh come on, that’s one of those unanswerable questions, like whether shampoo or conditioner is betta.

honestly, at this point in the game i think that most ppl would have to agree that intel is way ahead of the game when it comes to new technologies and innovation

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Intel has a better CPU at the moment however, AMD has the hypertransport bus as well as an integrated memory controller. Those are two huge points for them. Intel has the process advantage that they can crank out die shrinks faster than AMD. Intel will be on .045 nanometer transistors process when AMD is ramping their .065 nanometer tech.

AMD has integrated memory controller into the CPU rather than outside whereas Intel is using an external memory controller. AMD has designed the Hammer architecture to be highly scalable.

Intel has a better CPU manufacturing process. They can fit more CPU’s on a CPU wafer since each CPU is built with a smaller process. Because of that, they can crank out more CPUs at a cheaper price and still make more money.

yeah, i will definitely agree that onboard memory controller is huge.
