I took a loot at the tranny and the it appears the speed sensor is connected properly. The gauge cluster is connected properly as well as far as I can tell because all the other gauges, odometer are working fine.

As soon as the car is moving (maybe 5-10km/h) the speedometer jumps up to 70km/h and it stays there as long as the car is moving. Doesn’t matter if I’m doing 30km/h or 100km/h. When the car is moving, as soon as I stop, the speedo is stuck at 70km/h, falls to 65km/h two seconds later and then quickly falls back to 0.

Do you think something is mechanically wrong with the gauge cluster? This just happened today in traffic, didn’t have the thing buried past 180 or anything like that.

Look in the FSM, there is a test for the speedo sender and if that checks out ok i would go thru the wiring.
