I finally got my computer hooked up at the new house. (It has been stored for a year.) I tried to update itunes and was told I need xp or vista!!! F that, they know that xp and vista suck, that is why I still use 2000. They are messin with us forcing us to use junk windows.:squint: So I went to the itunes store and they won’t let me download movies with the old version of itunes! WTF can I do? Also, I need to get one of you computer geeks to my house because I am old and can’t even get my new verizon email to work the way I want to. :awdrifter: ---

I’m pretty sure itunes came out when xp was the mainstream windows os, therefore thats what you have to use? btw, itunes sucks lol ---

itunes is just a memory hog other than that I don’t have problems with it. and i thought i was weird for not switching to vista yet… but windows 2000 wtf ---

My brother (and apparently any computer person) prefers 2000 because the newer versions suck. So he tells me to stay with 2000.:gotme: I don’t have the time or interest to keep up with this shit. Yes it is 2008 shouldn’t things be easier not more complicated? My 2000 works awesome why should I have to downgrade to some new bs that does not work as well? ---

XP has a lot in common with Windows 2000… Windows XP is up to SP3 now and is highly stable and a lot more secure then it was 3-4 years ago… ---

XP is very stable these days. You can just turn it to classic mode and it’ll look just like 2k. Plus everything is essentially in the same spot as 2k. Upgrade, turn on classic mode, and you will think you are still on 2k. PM’d. ---

windows 2000 is better? um no. my boyfriend is a IT guy and while he says that 2000 is a good os, there’s no reason in the world to be sticking with it. a lot of programs don’t even support 2000 anymore, it’s so old and not used anymore. most IT guys now are still preferring xp over vista just due to, well, their laziness because hooking up a vista machine and a xp machine takes a whole like three clicks more than going xp to xp. but no one still is advocating 2000 over xp lol. ---

Don’t hurt yourself. XP is pretty much winders 2000 with extra features and clears up some of the security concerns that 2000 had.
