# is it okay to run without a fan shroud ?

hey guys i was working on my car today swapping the alternator and i realized my shroud is all broken up and not mouted so i just left that out when put my car toegethr, its meant to guide the air from the rad to the fan so it goes on the engine or to prevent the same air from circulating or what, i drove without it, seems like no problems, u guys think its ok if i leave it off ?? let me know, thanks

You should reinstall the shroud, it helps the stock clutch fan alot.  
It helps direct suction directly through the rad rather than from the sides of the rad.

i couldn’t use the shroud when i did the swap… unless i trim it to clear the AC dryer. it’s working fine without it, no overheating issues or nothing
