# is it possible?

is it possible to convert 95-98 maxima to rear wheel drive ? may be install 300zx tranny … what do u think its a good idea … just a suggestion … maxima power plus rear wheel power

got 10 g’s to do it?

suspension tranny tunnel and frame mods required dur to different physics.  
welding and etc to get 'er done  
then components.

probably near to $6-10k worth of work and parts.

but anything is possible

theres no point when u could buy an infiniti J30, which is already rear wheel drive and drop in a 300ZX twin turbo motor that bolts rite up (i think)

Yes it does bolt up. Same mounts. Only thing you have to worry about are the SMICs with piping and the Oil Cooler that were on the 300ZX TT.

Considerable work set aside, if you are fixated on a RWD Maxima, it’s probably cheaper and easier to mold the Maxima Front and Rear into a J30 body. The rear lights might be difficult but I’m sure it’s possible. I like the front of the J30s anyway.

VQ35DE the 4th gen maxima and add some headers with a greddy EU and instant 250 to the wheels in a light 4 door :D. Though traction would be a beatch!

why waste $ on a maxima… not worth it [for the conversion…]

a maxima is a 4dr sports saloon.
