# Is there a carfax for motorcycles?

I’m more curious to know if a particular motorcycle was ever stolen or reconstructed.

doesn’t regular carfax pull bike VINs too?

I looked on their webpage and it says cars and light trucks from 1981 on. I entered the vin and carfax won’t take it.

yea i had Janus try and run a bike vin a few weeks ago and it would show anything

From what I’ve seen Carfax does have reports on some motorcycles but definitely not all. It’s just hit and miss. You could also try [cyclechex.com](http://cyclechex.com). I’ve never used it but I’ve seen a few people recommend it.

car fax ran all the bikes ive tried thus far… fwiw.
