# Issue with Sony Vaio

Sony Vaio PCG-6N1L laptop antivirus was out dated so i installed symantic on it now it starts up fine but once the desktop appears there are no icons in the task tray the hour glass stays on when i put the cursor on the menu bar and it wont allow any programs to load also the biometric finger print scanner isnt working either

antivirus corporate edition
works fine on all the other computers never had a problem with it

what version?
remove anything that deals with norton or symantec and never reinstall. Go with avg if you want antivirus.

It might have wiped out the registry… Norton/Symantic has become a crappy company that I don’t know why anyone uses their software anymore (beyond Ghost).

pc totally craps out once the desktop appears doesnt let me do anything i was going to reinstall windows but i have some files i want to get off it first

I can access laptop hd and burn off the data on my tower.
