# IT Guys \*internet filtering\*

4. We IT nerds can do anything we want with your pc. 😃

A typical IT dept would only start monitoring a specific user if they suspect something. If a few other employees complain that you read pittspeed all day, then they can monitor how much time you spend on the web, and things like that.

I don’t hear of a lot of places proactively monitoring web usage. :dunno:
