I do know that VCT errr whatever Nissan’s VTEC acrynomn is… 😛 Will not work without the transmission ECU/contorller… Just a personal experience I had with one, before the internet so I never did to much research on it.

Are you getting a ticking sound during idle/ light reving? Say like a kid with a baseball card stuck in the spokes of his bike wheel?
