Chris Lee, an Amherst Republican who resigned last month after getting caught in an Internet flirtation with a woman who wasn’t his wife. > The state Independence and Conservative parties endorsed Corwin on Monday, and local tea party activists held a candidate forum at Brennan’s Bowery Pub in Clarence featuring Davis, Iraq War veteran David Bellavia, of Batavia, and Amherst Council Member Mark A. With an unemployment rate of about 50% for black men in buffalo is can see the cold hard logic behind it. However, the way it was put it is completely and blatantly racist. ---

While I don’t necessarily agree with all his comments, there is a fine line sometimes between reality and “racist” statements… ---

a job is a job. This one even comes with company supplied transport. Its a hand out, but it involves effort, making it a less viable option to welfare. The most viable option, is to napalm the ghettos. ---

And the part you bolded wasn’t the actual quote, it was the Buffalo News paraphrase that made it sound even worse. The actual quote was **“We have a huge unemployment problem with black youth in our cities. Put them on buses, take them out there [to the farms] and pay them a decent wage; they will work.”** Not great quote for sure, but not as bad as “send them to pick crops” like the Buffalo News changed it to. The “and pay them a decent wage” was conveniently left out of the Buffalo News opening paragraph. I’m sure the fact that people generally don’t read past there had nothing to do with the Buffalo New’s decision to do so either. ---

since when did bold imply something was a quote? lol at defending him, I’m sure deep down he’s not really racist, he just chose a racist example of his great policy ideas. ---

The Buffalo News makes MSNBC look conservative. I can’t wait for that paper to go under. Their “journalism” doesn’t deserve to exist. That being said, bussing the unemployed from their homes to a place where they can earn a living with zero training required sounds solid to me. They should do it with the kids at the juvy detention center. I felt good canceling our subscription along with a letter explaining I can’t take their horrible political spin anymore. We used to get just the Sunday delivered because the wife liked the ads. I got fed up and bookmarked the links to all the local store ads on my laptop so she can use that instead. That paper is sinking fast. ---
