ok so i popped off the valve cover today and discoverd the following… (this is only what i can see from visual inspection) aftermarket adjustable cam gears - unknown 270 11.5 instake camshaft - unknown 270 12.5 exhaust camshaft - unknown (tomei makes 270 in and ex in that lift) appear to be aftemarket rocke arms - #3 and 4 popped off on the exhaust side - will be comparing them to oem units soon appear to be aftermarket valve springs - unknown (assuming Ti since most are made of that) - will be comparing them to oem units soon rocker arm stoppers - unknown - look exactly like my old s13 sr20det tomei’s so with such high lift high duration cams, im expecting a ported and polished head and maybe lash killer kit for a solid lifter conversion, no? and im expecting pistons and rods in the bottom end for sure and some kind of aftermarket head studs as well this is without a doubt a 8000 - 9000 rpm head anyone conquer? the motor will not be sold whole now since it may be damaged, ill be tearing it down to find out if its only the two rocker arms and nothing more ---

Well it is hard to say… you’re probably better off asking this on a forum like nico or zilvia… definitely not son. Put it this way too, the “nicer” the stuff seems, the more expensive it’ll be for people who are interested. And this is SON. You can compute the rest. ---

So let me get this straight. You paid alot of money for a clip without knowing what it contained? Did you not know it had a built engine? The tranny I can see being a surprise, but not this. ---

bult engine was also not known (at the time of pruchase) that was discovered when we put the pieces together when it arrived from the get go (when the clip was in my possession) we knew it was built, just not with what parts or how built (the extent of it) At time of purchase i assumed this was a stock s14 sr20det with maybe afew things like cams and shit - which still fetches a price that covers nearly half my costs the only things i knew before the clipped arrived was what i could see with my own eyes and what the sellers had told me throgh questions and answers they compression tested it for me and all numbers checke dout fine. but its a good thing i opened it up and saw the rocker arms before any sort of motor firing took place with the parts i knew were on the clip, i knew the money was there and then some, but as i kept tearing it down we found more and more wise investment in my books, i’de do is again in a heartbeat ofcourse im going to be stuck with some parts, but thats alright edit: the sellrs overlooked a tonne of things, they didnt even know it was an s15 motor, they advertised it as an s14 the failed to mention alot of things in theire list of whats on this clip because they didnt take the time to invesitgate properly they only had a brief list of things that could be seen quite easily and thne the words “comes with lots of exra goodies” i did the research and then took the risk, and so afr its paying off in dividends ---

now that that should clear things up for you back to my question at hand and marky, your right, ill have to post most shit stateside but if it turns out just to be the rocker arms, i may sell it compete as a built motor for a price lower then any competition it wont be 100% complete like turbo and shit, so we’ll see ---
