Why don’t the people that learn from the bible go after the people that tarnish it by preaching hate an intolerence. I always hear the same argument, “those people aren’t real christians they aren’t following the bible correctly”, bullshit, for those who are church goers and believe in the bible but don’t participate in the rambleings of some of the most prejudice bible thumpers you need to get up off you ass and start defending yourselves. Stop letting the evangelical hate machine turn christianity into the wests version of radical islam. The day will come where people will not see the difference between average church goer and those fanatics, as evidence of most of these types of threads here. ---

I beleive in God and Jesus etc. I think it’s what keeps me morally on the up and up and makes me compelled to help the ways that I do. Other than that I keep it to myself as it is my beliefs and my personal relationship. Listen to this. My mom’s a jew, my dad’s a methodist. I never went to church or temple. How can you believe anything is true when 2 different religions are the “right one.” There is no god. Face it. There’s no higher power. Evolution did happen and does exist. When you die, you go into the ground, or burn up. That’s it. I wasn’t baptized. I’m going to fucking hell. In my opinion, and no offense, but religious people are just too scared to face the facts. They want to feel as if there is something out there helping them. I’m not saying this is wrong, but I think it’s a little silly. EDIT: Well Jay’s post just made this thread a whole lot better.
