The issue is Albany has really turned to shit. Robberies, rapes, stabbings… people aren’t going to Albany anymore and it killed Jillians. Sneak Pete’s closing brought more “trouble” downtown as well. It’s sad, as I have had many a fun night there, and became really good friends with several of the guys there. Definitely a good bunch. Toga is good like 2 months of the year if that. I’ve been sticking to pubs lately. ---

Only been out to jillians 7-8 times, but its been a fucking mess. People fighting, people doing coke in the bathroom, and just general douchbag-ness running rampant in the place. I used to go out to the biergarten every now and then but even that has got a little too “popular” for my tastes. About the only times I go out now is to catch a band a few of my cousins are in. Was at the barrel this past saturday and it was actually a fun time ---

Barrel and stout are the only 2 places i goto, the crowd is light in color and im usually the only drunk dbag there ---

My faves were , valentins , qe2. ,saratoga winners , Hudson dusted , northern lights , …very very light in color , always a fight "but only as show was playing most of the time " , mostly a big group of friends !!! Who remembers the local hardcore scene ??? I certinaly miss it !!! ---

What happened to club 288, the original QE2, Howard’s valentines, the VFW on quail street, the american legion by bishop maginn? Or the eagles lodge in Schenectady? Hardcore died in 89’ I was still in high school and enjoying all the NYHC and CT straightedge, what a about the anthrax in Norwalk? The duster is late bro…u must have LOVEd my cousins band…section 8?
