Read my post above on my grandmas car. hit (tboned at 47) semi was a 2007 peterbuilt with a full load of Gas headed for the reststop. Still Baffles me on the serverity of the outcome. Had nissan ACTUALLY thought about safty and not money, outcome could have been better

Damn those pics are rough. Sure is awful to lose somebody like that, especially with no chance to say goodbye.
Today is 9 years that my grandfather on my dad’s side died. He was sick though so it didnt come as a complete shock.
Your family will get thru it. Its just going to take some time.

+1 ,as people on here know my father stepmom ,little brother and sister ,lastly stepsister all died in a fire ,will be 10 yrs on the 12th of this month while i was in lockup not a fuckin thing i could do …just keep the head up the best ya can and dont bottle anything :thumbup

the fruit truck was going 55 and K20’s grandma’s car was coming from the **opposite direction** when she lost control. So say that the time of impact she was only going 30… the end result would be 85mph. Not even comparable to 47. She could have been going even faster though, who knows.
Joey, I’m sorry for your loss. I haven’t had a grandparent for almost 3 years now… cherish the time you spent with her.

Holy crap! I just saw this. Joe, I’m sorry to hear for your loss, man. Hang in there. I, myself have only 2 grandparents left. It’s rough to get news like that. I remember when my uncle(dad’s brother) called and told me that my grandpa(on my dad’s side) has died. i didnt know what to do. i was the one that had to tell my dad about that. i didnt know what to do when i got the news. i just sat down and couldnt say anything for a long time. the hardest part for me was the fact that im here and my grandpa was in my hometown, back in Russia. I couldnt even attend the funeral. the first thing im doing once i go back to visit is to go to see where hes buried. he had a huge impact on my life, he got me into cars and stuff like that.

Joe, I was stunned to hear what happened, and Due to the whole burnout deal(which was meant to be a useless prank) I figured it was best to keep my mouth shut. Its a horrible thing you are going through right now, Thanks god ive never had to deal with anything like that but my sympathies go out to you and your family. RIP

Think? im not stupid. Its the basis of how well the car is made to with stand a side crash.
Not trying to argue but my grandma was going ~35 and the truck hit her (speeding) @ 47 (verified by the cop sitting on the corner which saw the whole thing.) (also was perfectly t boned) so a semi that wieghs about 5 or more of those fruit trucks (fully loaded tanker truck) hit with a combine force of around 82mph. so yes that is comparable. Not trying to be a dick in any way. Im just baffled at the way it turned out. And to this thread, and telling me to suck a fatty. It was a joke, and joe you out of all people should know shift = ball busters. Like ive never been the spotlight of the week and you bashing me. sooo :hug and dont let it get to you.

you still don’t make any sense…unless you are leaving out more details. You can only add the speeds of the two cars together if they hit while going the complete opposite direction. Unless your grandma too lost control and hit the truck coming the in the opposing lane then NO is it not comparable. Sounds like your grandma was going 35mph when a truck going 47 t-boned her… NOT a force of 82mph. Its just a 47mph crash
