You’re happy with the Dynomat replacement material you used?
How much quieter is the ride? Noticeable difference?

yeah, i’ve used it in a bunch of car/trucks and it does the job well at a good price. Doesn’t make the ride that much quieter but it does help a tiny bit. It’s more for vibration dampening that anything else. eliminates the rattling

Finally getting back to a couple things on the truck. Dropped the mirrors off at harts collision this morning for painting. Getting them done up 2010 super white to match the truck like the trd sports. Also bought some 4 wheeler handgrip heaters and i’ll be adding heated mirrors since the lack of them really sucks during the winter. Need to get another carling switch with the logo for those and put it in my center console.

Was that homelink stock or “aftermarket”. If aftermarket can you tell me where you got it and a rough idea how you put it in (mainly the wiring details). I want to do something similar in my STI then connect one of the aux outputs of my alarm into it.

the homelink is off another car, i’m not sure what model/make. I got it on ebay for about 30 bucks and it’s just a simple 2 wire hookup. I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about with hooking up an aux output to it from your alarm. It’s a wireless garage door opener…all it has is power and ground coming off of it. Soo unless your alarm will mate wth it wirelessly i’m confused as to what your plan would be?

offroad, you could probably wire in a micro 12v relay to the homelink, just a little soldering and it should work no problem.

I was incorrect in my thinking about how the homelink worked. I thought that the button that is visible was just a basic button and that the actual controller (that sends the signal) was seperate. Either way I can still do what I wanted… I’ll just have to open up the homelink box and find the button contacts. Then just solder my alarm wire (direct if ground, through a relay if its 12v) to the contact. Basically the same thing I recently did on my bike for the hide-away garage door opener.
