Sweet choice for a project man. Ive seen and helped restore a few of these little guys in the past. If I remember correctly i think the 71’s were actually worth a bit back than, probably a little more now. Hey I cant remember exactly which year it was but i believe the rear brakes from a 300zx or 200sx was what my buddy used for a disk brake conversion in the back. Just something to tumble around the noggin. Good luck with the project. Look forward to seeing more of it. ---

240sx brakes actually, with a bracket. I’ve heard late 80’s maxima brakes mount up too, but I’m using 350z brembos. ---

i have lots of OEM S13 parts on a parts car you can hack away at… there are dozens of S13 rear brake calipers and associated hardware at our shop. ---

Thanks bing, but I’m using Z33 Brembo’s. The only modern 240sx bits on this car will be the KA-T, trans, and driveshaft. ---

Haven’t worked on it much because “MPD is a bag”. Got working on stripping the engine bay though. Ordered a clutch, floors, subframe connectors/frame rail reinforcements, and the front subframe for the KA. Starting to clean up, paint scraper and steel wool. I also discovered a small hole in the frame rail which you can see in the bottom right of that photo. It’s about an inch and a half long, by maybe 1/3 of an inch wide. Wont be a hard repair at all. Progress coming along, I’d say I have the bay 60% stripped. I still have a lot of little holes that were drilled to fill and spot welds for old brackets to drill out. A significant amount of paint has been removed though.
